LDT is Longmont’s only pre-professional ballet school and emphasizes ballet technique while offering a wide curriculum of dance styles. We believe that training in all types of dance provides versatility necessary for our young ballerinas, while encouraging a broad understanding of dance as an art form. At LDT, Summer is a wonderfully fun season of new teachers and new disciplines. Students will continue their excellent ballet training while focusing on a different dance form each week of the program. The special focus classes are listed below and we are excited about the variety of this year’s program.

Musical Theatre
Musical theatre is a form of theatre combining music, songs, dance, and spoken dialogue.  During this focus, LDT students will have the opportunity to learn from a vocal coach and incorporate their jazz technique into a production number which will be performed on the last day.     Top
